Based in Atlanta, Texas, with roots in Tyler, Texas — a lifetime of service, family, and music.
Dave Edwards is a retired firefighter of nearly 38 years with the Plano Fire-Rescue Department, retiring in 2017. After a career protecting his community, he returned full-heartedly to the music that shaped his youth.
Music entered his life around age 15. In high school he performed with The Texas Travelers and won the WBAP Talent Search in 1977–78. He stepped away from the business when he started his family, then reignited his passion after retirement — performing at community and senior centers and Opry houses across Texas and Oklahoma, which he still does today.
Born and raised with East Texas roots in Tyler, Dave is now based in Atlanta, Texas. In 2024 he was first runner-up at the John Ritter Showcase. He launched a YouTube channel in 2023, began recording around 2024, and released his first album, I’ll Always Love This Place, with singles going to radio — including “Swing Me Back To Oklahoma.”
